I was a classically trained ballerina living, working (and struggling) in NYC. I turned to yoga to help with recovery of an injury, and as a way to “get my mind to shut off.” I very quickly realized that those themes would follow me through the next chapter of my life and eventually, to a career. My collegiate study of anatomy and alignment led me to pursue a greater understanding of the Iyengar practice, and my heavy use of props in class is to help facilitate the ideal energetic response of a particular posture.
Understanding the necessity for both solid groundwork and space to grow - I focus classes on foundation followed by exploration.
Expect an all levels, heat building class, dynamically structured to enhance your well being—both on and off the mat. Flow mindfully and meditatively - taking extra time to check in with both breath & alignment, strengthening the practice from the inside out as you challenge the physical body. Classes also involve meditation, mantra, mudra & pranayama for a well-rounded practice.
My heart goes out to my teachers and my teacher's teachers. Thank you for paving this path with light and love.
