Kathleen Ross-Allee is the co-founder and co-creator (with Alison Crowley) of The Yoga Prescription TM and of the yoga therapy programs at Cedars-Sinai’s Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group and The Center for Radiation Therapy of Beverly Hills. She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga Therapy Rx Certification Program (2010), the first and only university accredited program in the United States, where Kathleen now serves as Managing Director and is the Managing Editor of the Yoga Therapy Rx Sangha online magazine. Kathleen is currently completing her Internship in Jnani Chapman’s Yoga in Cancer and Chronic Illness (YCat) Level-2 Certification Program. She began her business ‘Leen Bodies in 1991, as an ACE-certified personal trainer in Los Angeles specializing in post-rehabilitation exercise programs and completed her initial yoga training at The Center for Yoga in Los Angeles in 2002. Kathleen’s Gentle Yoga Therapy for Parkinson’s class which she offers for free to patients and caregivers at Liberation Yoga is very popular in the Parkinson’s community. She teaches privately as well as at studios and corporations throughout southern California. She has taught for the Wooden Center at UCLA, CD Chivas USA, The Center for Yoga Larchmont, Annie’s Yoga, U Studio Yoga, and The Little Tokyo Parkinson’s Support Group. Combining her knowledge of fitness, illness/injury rehabilitation and yoga, Kathleen offers a unique perspective through her teaching that is complemented by her philosophy to make yoga safe, enjoyable and accessible to all.
Kathleen is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500) with the National Yoga Alliance (YA) and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
