Family & Toddler Yoga

Family Yoga | A one hour all levels Hatha yoga class for the whole family to enjoy! The class will explore standing poses, sun salutations, breathing and relaxation techniques as well as fun interactive games. it's an opportunity for bonding with family while sharing the health and well being that yoga brings. Get them started young! Ages 4 to infinity.

Little Yogis/Ages 2–5yrs |  This joyful exploration of yoga is the perfect way to set your little yogi in motion and even into a bit of stillness! The classes are taught through dance, animal-themed postures & storytelling, with a strong emphasis on breathing techniques & meditation to stimulate the mind & enhance health. Parents are welcome to stay wit their children, or if parent and teacher agree it feels right—you can enjoy a little free time yourself!

Beginners Meditation | Join Everardo for this elegant and simple meditation class. It's perfect for beginners or seasoned meditators looking to sit with community. Pay by donation or class series.

Morning Magic/Flow Level 1–2 | This class, taught by Liberation owner Christine Burke, is an inspired blend of traditional Hatha, Iyengar and Vinyasa. The pace is moderate yet strengthening, toning and rejuvenating. There is a balance between invigorating and restoring.The class is infused with spirit through mudras, pranayama, guided meditation and on occasion, mantras.  Accommodations can be made for injuries and beginners are welcome. Start the day uplifted, focused and relaxed!

All Levels Iyengar | Taught in a dynamic and engaging setting, students will gain a deeper connection to the mind and body through proper alignment and precise instruction. Students will build strength, increase flexibility and gain an improved overall sense of well being. Selene is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher. Selene apprenticed with renowned teachers Marla Apt and Monica Rose. Selene likes to guide her students to deepen the mind-body connection. Mental stability, an inner peace, and an open heart are some of the benefits of Iyengar yoga.

Asana Kitchen/Vinyasa Flow 2–3 | Spend Sunday morning in the "yoga kitchen" and get into the ingredients of some of the more challenging and exciting asanas with this strong Vinyasa Flow. In this class you will have the opportunity to workshop, breakdown and digest a variety of poses, themed and centered around an aspect of Yoga Philosophy, including pranayama and meditation. Get into the "Asana Kitchen" and savor your practice as it transforms!

Baby and Me | No Description

Bhakti Yin Yang | Class begins with a slow meditative flow and closes with a soothing yin practice. Students will explore mantra (repetition of sacred names), pranayama (breath work), and asana (physical postures) to open up energetic pathways to receive the loving benefits of both active and passive practices. Optional energy healing is offered to aid in calming the mind, body, and heart to prepare one for balance, sweet peace, and stillness.

Body Positive Beginner Yoga | Does the idea of stepping into a yoga class feel intimidating to you because you aren't flexible or feel you don't "fit the look?" Body Positive Beginner's Yoga cultivates an inviting and inclusive environment for all. Mayuko holds space to inspire body positivity and she will meet you where you are with foundations of yoga using props and modifications as needed. Come play, move, and boost your self love! Mayuko is a Registered Dietitian and yoga teacher who found her truth through her studies of yoga philosophy. Her passion is to spread her light and help other find their own. 

Brunch Breath & Bliss Flow/ Mixed Levels | No Description

Candlelight Vinyasa Flow And Medition/Level 2 | End your weekend and begin your week on a high note with this meditative Chakra Based Vinyasa Flow taught by Liberation owner, Christine Burke.  The class is set to music and candlelight, incorporates breath work and meditation and sets a tone of inspiration and peace for the week ahead. Each class centers around the "chakra of the week." Chakras are the main energy centers of the body and are portals for healing and discovery. It is a Level 2 class and is suited to a student with 3 months or more of consistent practice, but there is room for all to work at their own pace.

Cosmic Flow (Level 2) | You will get a solid asana (workout), stillness in your mind, and energy clearing for your soul. Sequences designed to help you get into the flow of the cosmos and out of resistance. Each class will be curated to the moon cycle and other planetary positions. For the astrology lover, novice, or skeptic alike.

Discover Yoga/Level 1 | This class is for those students who are new to yoga or who are ongoing Level 1 students and ready to delve a little deeper into their journey of discovering yoga. Terasa typically begins class with some ‘food for thought’, an offering, intended to ignite and inspire us: to let go of the day and reconnect. Students are then invited to settle into the body, connect to the breathe and move mindfully. Slowly we open the the body, stretch, warm up and prepare for the coming sequences. The class moves at an easy going pace, incorporating many seated postures and heat building techniques. Attention is paid to the breath and Terasa’s instruction is always intended to shed light on correct alignment & postures. This class is able to challenge each individual while still honoring each students ability & experience. Modifications are alway offered—to take it easy or maybe dare something new. 

Feel good Friday flow Level 2/3 | Start your weekend off right with a feel good Friday flow in the garden at Liberation. Louise embraces the joyful rebellious spirit of yoga, utilizing flows from the Rocket system, Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga, creating grounding on the mat, flying off it, and always experimenting. Breath and bandhas fire the agni in the practice, but above all it’s a journey through moving meditation. Using music to drive the tempo and energy of the class, connecting breath to movement, expect the unexpected and come and play!

Gentle Restorative | This calming, nurturing class promotes the effects of conscious relaxation and is particularly beneficial for coping with insomnia, menstrual discomfort, headaches, fatigue and an overstimulated nervous system. Props are utilized for maximum comfort. Restore, refresh, renew.  Everyone is welcome!

Gentle Yoga | A calming stress-relieving class to stretch and gently strengthen the body gradually. Emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and body. Asanas are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment and detail. Recommended for all levels looking for a soothing, relaxing, restorative experience and especially those newer to yoga or working with special concerns or injuries.

Hatha Flow/Level 1–2 | This class emphasizes a clear and precise teaching of asana, thus enhancing the student's awareness of specific alignment in the postures. The class is informative and maintains a constant flow giving the new student a good foundation, and the continuing student a challenging practice. Steven's training with physical injury may give those particular students the ability to use yoga as a therapeutic tool in the regular class format.

Iyengar Level 1 | No Description

Iyengar Style — Alignment — All Levels | A 90 minute Iyengar-style alignment class with props. Students work on opening the hips, shoulders, spine, and neck with postures held for extended times focusing on the precision alignment of each pose. Reset your yoga practice and heal the physical and mental effects of daily technology use on the body.

Iyengar Style/All Levels | This unique and transformative class is based on the widely respected teaching of B.K. Iyengar. Focused attention is given to technical alignment, breath and energy. The class will build strength, stamina and a solid foundation for either a newer student or an ongoing student. Props are used and encouraged. This class is also very therapeutic and is appropriate for a wide range of conditions. Please inform Pagan if you are working with a particular issue.

Iyengar Vibe/Level 1 | This class is based upon the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. The focus is on alignment and technique to build strength, stamina and a solid foundation. Props are used and encouraged. This class is also very therapeutic and is appropriate for a wide range of conditions.

Kirtan | Call and response chanting is one of the most powerful ways to raise your vibration, heal and cleanse the energy body and bring vitality to your system. This is for everyone - no experience necessary.

Led Ashtanga | Ashtanga is a set sequence of postures linked together with vinyasa, or flow of movement, in order to build heat in the body. The aim is for every breath taken to be a conscious one, creating a moving meditation. The set sequence is a consistent flow of dynamic movement designed to stretch and strengthen your body and to allow breath and energy to flow through your body easily. If you are an Ashtanga practitioner or interested and curious about expanding your practice, Stephanie will guide you through with kindness and expertise.

Level 1 Donation Class/Teachers Trainees | A level 1 class designed for beginners and ongoing students. Focusing on alignment and breath work, this well rounded practice will increase flexibility and strength, decrease stress and boost the immune system. This class is taught By Liberation Yoga Teacher Training graduates in training. The suggested donation is $10.

Mixed Slow Flow Level 1–2 | No Description

Pre/Post Natal | A moderately paced class to prepare for birth and to stimulate post-natal recovery.  Through a safe, modified practice emphasizing movement and breath, we focus on poses that build strength and stamina while stretching and opening the body. The cultivation of breath techniques and relaxation exercises help to calm the mind and balance hormonal fluctuations. Modifications and enhancements are made for each side of birth. All levels welcome and new moms are encouraged to bring their babies.

Recharge and Renew | This one hour refresh is the perfect transition from day to evening. The class is composed of alignment based standing and seated poses, restorative poses, breathwork and meditation. You will be revived!

Restore and Renew Flow | With a focus on alignment, breath, and cultivating awareness, this class is perfect for any level practitioner who wants to tune in, flow deep, clam the mind, refresh the body and the spirit. Kelly completed her 200hr teacher training in Spring 2017 at Liberation Yoga and has been deepening her training through an ongoing apprenticeship with Pagan. She is also a Reiki Master. Her goal is to help you find strength, balance, and release through conscious breath and movement.

Slow Flow Level 1–2 | A super slow paced moving meditation that challenges you to fully embody poses and each moment of transition between them. A perfect way to move out of your workweek by grounding you in the present.

Sound Healing Meditation | Immerse yourself into this guided meditation class, with individual akashic and reiki healing energy combined with vibrational sound that will expand and enhance your state of consciousness so that you may connect deeper into your own nirvana, unconditional self-love, and inner peace.

Spirit Flow — All Levels | This class, taught by Liberation owner Christine Burke, is an immersion into "all things yoga." It builds strength and flexibility, improves cardiovascular health and balances the nervous system. Inversions and arm balances are introduced—but not required! As the title suggests the class is infused with spirit through mudras, pranayama and guided meditation. Though everyone is welcome it is a Level 2 class and is most ideal after 3 months of consistent practice and a curiosity to take your practice further.

Spring Detox

  • First we will do a clearing meditation and sage cleansing ceremony

  • Then we will practice Releasing and Letting Go Techniques of Breath, Mudra and Meditation

  • Now the mind and body are primed for postures that will release stored emotions, leftover imbalances from injury, colds and flus and so on.

  • Next we chant and set intentions to bring forth clarity and inspiration for the spring season - to enhance our prosperity, productivity, creativity and accessibility to joy!

  • We finish with meditation and restoration.

  • You will feel revived and alive!

Strong And Stretchy/Vinyasa Flow Level 2–3 | Designed for beginning to advanced yogis, this class uses creative sequencing with a strong focus on strengthening the core and incorporating backbends to increase spine flexibility. There is a mixture of dynamic flow and static postures with an emphasis on breath awareness and the practice of vinyasa (linking movement with breath). A variety of options are offered throughout the class, including arm balances and inversions, encouraging each student to listen to his/her own body and take what they need from the practice.

Strong Flow/Level 2–3 | This deep, transformative vinyasa class is recommended for students with at least 6 months of yoga experience or those in good physical condition with 3 months experience. This class focuses on connecting breath to movement and building heat strength and flexibility. Challenging postures are explored in depth including balancings, inversions and backbends. The teacher may encourage the student to be responsible for taking rests and modifications as needed.

Strong Flow/Level 2 | This is a well-rounded, rigourous vinyasa class flow incorporating elements from various schools (see bio) and other modalities—injecting class with devotion (Bhakti), mindfulness, and fun! 

Strong, Mindful Flow/Level 2 | This meditative vinyasa flow will wake up the body as it stills the mind. The pace is mindful but consistently flowing. The focus is on alignment and breath with the opportunity to add more challenging asanas including arm balances and inversions if desired.  As a special treat Adam plays harmonium during savasana which will leave your body humming with delight all day.

Teen Girls Yoga | This one hour refresh and reset class is especially designed for teen girls. A combination of vinyasa flow and restorative with a mini meditation at the end, the class will revive and refresh the teen body, mind and spirit. All levels are welcome.  

Transformative Flow/Level 2 | Join the community in this healing vinyasa flow class. With an emphasis on breath and movement this class will meet you where you arena will encourage you to grow mentally, physically and spiritually.

Vinyasa Flow Level 2 | Led AYOP Primary series, is a purifying Vinyasa practice of classical yoga postures that will help you refine your body, mind and emotions in a safe, conscious and relaxed environment of learning. Guided by the principles of yoga from the Yoga Sutras of Patānjali, this traditional practice of yoga from India will help you sweat, reduce stress and lead with your heart. Live Music in Shavasana. All levels welcome.

Yin Yoga | Yin yoga is a passive practice that focuses on releasing the muscles and getting into our connective tissues. Practice is mostly seated or lying down and poses are held for about five minutes each. We make use of props to create a supported structure for our muscles to relax and let go, allowing gravity to take our bodies down toward the earth.

Physically, yin yoga is appropriate stress for our connective tissues, opens us up to our full range of motion, and brings us towards greater flexibility. More subtly, yin is a gateway to meditation, practice relaxing and calming, and a chance to settle into stillness and quiet.

During this class, we will start with a series of yin asanas and then shift into yoga nidra, a guided journey meditation practiced while lying comfortably on your back. You will leave feeling open and relaxed.

Yoga and Kabbalah Weekly Energy Class | Every week, the cosmos provides us with an opportunity to awaken a unique energy within us. In this class, we will explore the Kabbalistic principle that underlies each week and use it as a mantra through our asana practice. Join us every Wednesday for a self-discovery through global awareness and Kabbalistic meditation.

Yoga Basics/Level 1 | Let go of your mind and get into your body to release the tension of the day. A meditation in the balance of opposites, this alignment-focused Basics class teaches you how to mindfully increase flexibility in a way that is rooted in foundational strength. This class is for beginners or ongoing Level 1 students, those with injuries and hyper flexible students looking to build stability

Yoga For A Grounded Heart/Hatha Mixed Level | The base line of this Sunday morning practice is returning to the wisdom of the heart. This practice offers to move stuck energy and draw awareness from the mind to the heart + body. By moving with breath through an alignment-based asana practice rooted in the ashtanga primary series, meditation, + mantra, this class leaves space to enter into a deep place of connection + groundedness. All levels welcome!

Yoga For Parkinsons | This class will focus on using yoga techniques to support those in the Parkinson’s community to relieve stiffness, tension, discomfort and weakness. Please join us for an ever so gentle yoga practice to help ease your body, calm your mind and soothe your spirit. Simple routines to help with stress reduction as well as lifestyle tips will also be explored. This class is designed for the Parkinson’s community. (Caregivers may also attend) There is NO CHARGE for this class.

Yoga Nidra/All Levels | Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. While the practitioner rests comfortably in savasana (corpse pose), this systematic meditation takes you through the pancha maya kosha (five layers of self), leaving you with a sense of wholeness.
