The Spiritual Mental Health Diet with Christine Burke Spring 2022: Making Peace With Time—Svadhyaya: using the yogic principle of self study to create a happier healthier relationship with time.

A 40-day program for a Lighter, brighter You.
with Christine Burke
2022 Spring Online Session

Wednesdays, July 7, 14, 21, & August 4, 18, 25th
7:00 to 8:30pm

This course (affectionately and for convenience called SMHD) is a seasonal course (usually offered each of the 4 seasons) of self care, community connection and yoga life philosophy. Each session has a particular theme woven into the season and allowing for a dive into bringing the yoga lifestyle and some Ayurvedic tips into your daily life - basically for more mindful, satisfying and beautiful living.

We meet weekly on zoom for the lesson of the week that I am offering, a guided meditation and breathwork, and sharing of activities and experience so we can support, encourage and grow together. Each SMHD session is different and some elements are repeated as they are essential components to this wellness offering. This is YOU time - to explore, uncover and relax into yourself and your life.

MAKING PEACE WITH TIME
Ritual, Reflection, Resilience and Radiance

We will explore our attitudes, conditioning and self talk that inhibit our ability to experience a true present for any length of time. We will honor and release aspects of the past that draw our precious life force away and focus on the wisdom we have attained. We will observe and understand our preoccupation with the future and worrying and replace the habit of worry with healthy action. We will create a new relationship with the present, past and future built on joyful rituals that bring more radiance and nourish our bodies, minds and spirits so we are more resilient.

You will receive a weekly video of practices for the week along with the recording of each week's session to re-watch or in case you have to miss a week.

“In my experience, I have found SMHD to be a profound experience of expansion and growth in all ways. Christine creates a safe space in which to share thoughts, dive deep with questions and uses language that is easily digestible. In every SMHD that I attend, there is always another layer of philosophy to unpack in a new way that allows one to go deeper. The courses also build off of one another creating a deeper understanding of yoga philosophy and all its parts.” —Kimberly E.

"Christine really has changed my life. She has given me tools to center myself, relax and live a life full of happiness. There was a stark difference between when I started the program and when I ended the program. The practices Christine teaches are not only easy but they WORK. They have helped me to lead a more wholesome life full of inner peace and clarity. Whenever I'm feeling stressed out, I go back to our program and use some of the methods we used from it. It always does the trick." - Jessica B.

“I had been wanting to take Christine’s SMHD series for quite some time and Quarantine seemed like the perfect time to start. My SMHD experience exceeded all my expectations and has definitely improved my quality of life. For the first time, I was able to maintain a meditation practice, which has enabled me to calm my mind when I wake up in the middle of the night and get back to sleep quickly. It’s always been hard for me to take care of myself in ways that I deemed indulgences and SMHD has given me permission for the self care that I badly needed. The series also included ways to get in touch with our artistic sides through poetry, dance, and drawing which was such a pleasure and nourishing experience.” —Jennifer Y.
